ADOPTION GUIDELINES

Hello, our lovely participants!
After every round, adoptions are opened. Below you will find what it means and how you can join.
Here’s what adoption means: adoption is just like claiming a prompt, the only difference is that it doesn't follow the fest's usual schedule and rules. It will not be included in the current round's masterlist/collection. You will be the one to post it on your own AO3 accounts. There will also be no check-ins. The only thing you need to note is the deadline for submissions.
The deadline is going to be on December so if you haven’t had the chance to join this round or you had a dropped prompt, you can now adopt one!
RULES & GUIDELINES
-
You can post your work as soon as you finish but the deadline is going to be on December 25, 2020. If you have not yet submitted it by that date, we would put the prompt back on our archive regardless if you’re done or not.

-
The main pair must be about Baekhyun/Kyungsoo. This is still a BaekSoo fest.

-
You will be the one to post it on your own AO3 account.

-
When you post your work online, please write down the prompt code and indicate the fest name.

-
When you post on AO3, please put it under the collection: penguinberryfest02_adoptions.

-
There are no word-count for adoptions but we do hope that there’ll be at least a thousand words in the finished work. We also do not have check-ins.

-
Please keep in mind the prompter’s likes, dislikes, and hard-no triggers.

-
Remember to always tag your work properly.

-
We would be sharing your work through twitter (under our adoption thread) unless you request that we don’t.

-
There will be a form for you to fill out after you’ve finished writing. If not answered on or before the deadline, the prompt would be automatically forfeited.

-
Lastly, remember to read the fest’s general rules and guidelines.
FAQs
Who can adopt a prompt?

Everyone can adopt a prompt even if it’s your first time writing. Don’t be afraid, we’d do our best to try and help you!
Should the work be finished when we submit it?

Unlike the fest rules, you can submit an “unfinished” work in a sense that we only need one finished chapter for it to be considered.

Can I adopt multiple prompts?

Yes, you can BUT only after you’ve finished your work/ your first chapter. One form, one prompt.
Do you allow cross-posting?

Yes, we do. Please remember to mention the prompt code and the fest name.
Can I drop out?

Yes, you can. Please message us immediately and include the prompt code in your message.
Last notes
We would not be monitoring your works, meaning that we would not be sending emails aside from the confirmation email when you first adopt a prompt and the email that you will be receiving before the deadline if you still haven't submitted your fic.
Remember to have fun and that if you encounter a problem or if you need help, we’ll always be here to assist! Thank you for adopting and letting these wonderful prompts get the love they deserve~
